Physician
Coalition

As part of the Kennedy Forum’s Alignment for Progress, over the next 5 years, Elevyst commits to building a national collaborative of physicians in training to reduce the stigma people who use drugs and those in recovery face in the US healthcare system in order to improve access and quality of care received, and to transform and build workforce capacity to prepare physicians to deliver high-quality mental health and substance use care.

The Kennedy Forum’s Alignment for Progress

The Alignment for Progress is a 5-year initiative that is bringing together policy makers, insurers, clinicians, consumers, industry, academia, and other stakeholders to unify for meaningful Federal policy and systems change to transform mental health and substance use care in our country. At the heart of this movement is the bold goal to achieve “90/90/90” by 2033.

  • 90% of all individuals will be screened for mental health and substance use disorders

  • 90% of those screened will be able to receive evidence-based treatment

  • 90% of those receiving treatment will be able to manage their symptoms in recovery
